Cost breakdown

1) Use of Translate Your Web Page software:
This is the technology that retrieves your web pages (or imports an Excel file or MS Word file from your webmaster), and empowers you to easily and quickly update, modify or translate the pages. It also allows colleagues or translators to update or translate with global access from anywhere.

Your website is considered one "project", and its value is $25 in this software. So, if your site is 8 pages or 20 pages, the cost is $25. The first original language is free (e.g. English), then each language after the first language is $10. So, if you take complete control of translation, you can use this software to guide you for $35 for the entire website.

2) Translating your web pages:
With this software, there are 5 ways that you can translate your web pages. The cost for translation is calculated "per word":

1. Use your own translator (no charge)
2. Automated translation ($.01 per word). You can invite a friend or co-worker to review and improve the automatic translation.
3. Automated translation that is "cleaned" by a general translator ($.08 per word)
4. Translate "wiki-style" where your members can all work together (no charge)
5. Click to request the services of a qualified, professional translator (varies by language and content of your script (e.g. technical, medical). Generally, $.13 - $.16 per word)
6. Request a professional translation manager for your project. The translation manager has decades of experience and will select the optimum translator for your site. Your web pages will also be reviewed by another professional transaltor and editor, plus a review by engineer or doctor or other professionals as may be needed.

You can find out how many words there are on your website by going from page to page, "select all text" on the page, and paste into an Microsoft Word doc. Then, choose Tools > Word count to get the number of words, and multiply by the cost per word.
